The Maker Behind the Designs
For the past 40 years, I’ve worked with my hands. As a carpenter specializing in construction and remodeling, I’ve spent my career turning raw materials into something beautiful — one careful detail at a time. I was never the fastest. But I was always thorough. Every joint, every finish, every corner done right. My success has never been measured in wealth. It’s been measured in quality workmanship and happy customers.
As I began approaching the later years of that career, I knew I wasn’t the kind of person who could just stop creating. I needed something new — a business I could build with my own hands and carry with me into the next chapter. I just didn’t know what that looked like yet.
From Sawdust to Pixels
The idea started on YouTube. I stumbled across videos about print-on-demand businesses and something clicked. I’d always loved nature — gardening, flowers, being outside with my hands in the dirt — and I realized I could channel that love into design. I found an AI design tool and started experimenting with floral patterns, letting my eye for detail guide the process the same way it guided my carpentry.
My first attempt was selling the patterns themselves on Etsy. That didn’t work out. But instead of quitting, I found Printify and started placing my designs onto real products — tote bags, phone cases, blankets, candles. Suddenly the patterns came to life in a way that felt right.
Then came the hard part. I decided to try WooCommerce, not fully understanding what I was getting into. I quickly learned that it meant building an entire website from scratch. For someone with no background in computers, web design, or internet technology, this was like learning a foreign language. I taught myself through YouTube tutorials, online guides, and a whole lot of trial and error. There were nights of frustration, moments where nothing worked, and plenty of times I wanted to walk away.
But I don’t quit. That’s not how I’m built.
Three Years in the Making
Weaveybot has been a three-year journey. Three years of learning skills I never imagined I’d need — web design, e-commerce, product photography, digital marketing — all of it self-taught, all of it from the ground up. This website may not look like it was built by a professional web developer, because it wasn’t. It was built by a carpenter who cares deeply about creating something meaningful and refused to give up until it existed.
And honestly? I’m proud of that. Building Weaveybot has been one of the most challenging things I’ve ever done, and every page, every product listing, and every design represents something I learned along the way.
Where the Name Comes From
People sometimes ask about the name. The floral patterns I create have an interwoven quality to them — layers of petals and colors folding into each other like the threads of a fabric. That’s the “Weavey.” The AI design tool I use to bring those patterns to life is the “Bot.” Put them together and you get Weaveybot — a name I’ve never seen anywhere else, which is exactly how I like it.
What Weaveybot Is About
Every product in this shop starts with a love of nature. The floral designs are inspired by real flowers, real gardens, and real time spent outdoors. I care about the details of each pattern the same way I care about the details of a hand-built cabinet — every color, every curve, every composition matters.
Right now, Weaveybot’s collection focuses on floral designs across tote bags, blankets, phone cases, t-shirts, candles, and weekender bags. But this is just the beginning. I’m looking forward to branching into new design styles and new product categories as the brand grows.
At its heart, Weaveybot is about bringing brightness into everyday life. I want every product to make someone smile, to add a little beauty to an ordinary Tuesday, and to inspire love, grace, and hope — whether it’s a tote bag carried to the farmers market or a blanket shared on the couch with someone you love.
Built by Hand. Driven by Heart.
I’ve spent 40 years making things. Weaveybot is the newest thing I’m building, and I’m putting the same care into it that I’ve put into every project I’ve ever touched. Thank you for being here, for supporting a small business, and for being part of this next chapter.
Welcome to Weaveybot. I’m glad you found us.
